The original of this piece required 4 1/2 months to complete, working 10-12& hour days, every day. It is composed 1.83 million .10mm dots of ink on an 8/12 X 11 inch format.
Corners of My Life:
This piece was created to represent aspects of my life. It includes the musical instuments which I play and events that meant much in my life.
It also includes my old dogs, Ricky and Bruja who have passed on after many years of friendship. The female represents my muse and is depicted in various forms throughout this art collection. |
The Discovery of Coffee:
Inspired by the Arabian story of the shepard who discovered coffee while attending to his herd of goats which had an abundance of energy after eating the berries so he too tried them. Upon which he experienced energy enough to dance and play his flute with the animals.
He told the sultan and from there coffee flew to the world. |
